Every agency has its success stories. But few are as big or as directly attributed to the agency as this one. While helping Angie’s Kettle Corn redesign the packaging of their delicious, if not a bit indulgent popcorn brand, we were handed an urgent request. Seeing the threat of losing their shelf space to healthier alternatives like Skinny Pop, could we help them develop a new healthy brand to counter it? And by the way, Food Expo is in six weeks, could we have it all ready by then? We not only did it, by strategically finding white space within the healthy snack category and creating, naming, and designing a brilliant and fun, new brand. We transformed their company, one that was renamed Boomchickapop, and later sold to Conagra for a quarter of a billion dollars. I was thrilled for the amazing Angie Bastian, and damn proud of MONO, too.
